Junior Khanye Names the Kaizer Chiefs Star Who Made a Big Difference Against TS Galaxy

Junior Khanye has praised Wandile Duba for his contribution to Kaizer Chiefs’ emphatic 3-0 victory over TS Galaxy in the first round of the Carling Knockout Cup at FNB Stadium on Tuesday, while challenging the young attacker to become more consistent.

Khanye believes Duba made a significant difference during the match and has the potential to develop into a top striker for the Soweto giants.

However, he stressed that the forward must produce strong performances more regularly if he wants to reach that level.

“He has games and moments he shows up, he needs to be consistent and I think he can be a top striker for Chiefs,” Khanye said.

The assessment offers encouragement for Duba, whose contribution to the victory caught Khanye’s attention.

A 3-0 result gave Chiefs a convincing start to their Carling Knockout Cup campaign, and the former footballer used the occasion to highlight the importance of the attacker’s role.

For Chiefs supporters, Khanye’s comments raise an important question about what Duba can achieve if he builds on performances like this one.

The potential is there, according to Khanye, but maintaining that standard over an extended period will be crucial.

Consistency is particularly important for an attacker competing for a place at a club with the expectations and following of Kaizer Chiefs.

Producing occasional impressive moments can attract attention, but regular contributions are what can help a player establish himself as a dependable option.

Khanye’s remarks therefore combine praise with a challenge. Rather than simply celebrating Duba’s performance against TS Galaxy, he has pointed to the next step the player needs to take in his development.

Chiefs will hope to build on their cup victory, while Duba has an opportunity to strengthen his position through further performances.

Do you agree with Junior Khanye that Wandile Duba has what it takes to become a top striker for Kaizer Chiefs, or does he still need to prove himself? Share your opinion in the comments.
