Ghana’s National U-15 Boys team continued their impressive run at the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan after thrashing Mexico 5-2 to secure a place in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.

Shamsudeen Sulemana was the standout player for Ghana, scoring four goals in a remarkable display, while Abdul Aziz Issah added the other goal. The win came just hours after Ghana defeated the Republic 2-1 in the Round of 32.

The emphatic victory over Mexico underlined the team’s attacking strength as they secured another important result in their quest for glory.

The victory over Mexico means Ghana have now won all seven of their matches at the FIFA Talent Development Scheme tournament.

The National U-15 Boys opened their campaign with a 4-1 win over Uzbekistan before recording a 7-1 victory against Myanmar and a 7-0 triumph over Guam.

They continued their dominant form with another 7-0 win against the Bahamas before overcoming Kazakhstan 2-1.

Ghana then defeated the Republic of Korea 2-1 in the Round of 32 before producing their latest impressive performance against Mexico.

Ghana will now await their quarter-final opponents as they look to extend their winning streak and continue their pursuit of the title in Azerbaijan.
