Five Nsawam Prison Inmates Reportedly Transferred Over Alleged Plot to Poison Chairman Wontumi

Five inmates at Nsawam Prison have reportedly been transferred following an alleged plot to poison Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, according to Dr Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, an aide to the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional Chairman.

Dr Boakye-Danquah disclosed the development during an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, where he explained how the alleged plan was brought to his attention. He said the individual who reportedly heard the conversation alerted him to the matter, bringing the alleged threat to his attention.

Dr Boakye-Danquah further explained that Wontumi himself disclosed the incident during a conversation about his health after appearing in court on Tuesday, October 27.

The aide’s account suggests that the reported transfer of the five inmates followed concerns about the alleged plot.
