Court asked to disqualify APC from Rivers governorship election

ABUJA – The Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has been asked to declare that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is ineligible to field a candidate in the 2027 governorship election in Rivers State.The suit, marked FHC/PH/CS/193/2026, also asks the court to direct the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remove the APC and its candidate from the list of political parties eligible to field candidates for the governorship poll scheduled for February 6, 2027.
