Callistus Mahama is a Ghanaian academia and politician who is currently working as the Executive Secretary of President John Dramani Mahama.

Callistus Mahama was among the few people who President Mahama gave appointments to before setting up his government machinery. He was appointed on January 7th, 2025, a day the president took office.

He holds a PhD in Land Law and an MPhil in Land Economy from the University of Cambridge, as well as a BSc from KNUST.

He began his career as a lecturer at KNUST before transitioning into public service, where he significantly contributed to Ghana’s National Decentralisation Policy Framework and served as the Head of the Local Government Service.

The Presidential Executive Secretary Callistus Mahama was born on June 15th, 1965. He was born and raised in Kpembe or Salaga in the Savannah Region of Ghana.

As of October 2026, Callistus Mahama is 61 years old.

Callistus Mahama is a married man. He is married for many years now and has been successful in hiding the name and any other ID about his wife.
