2027:What Governor Of Kaduna State Said Was True,It’s Not Likely Opposition Will Get 25% Votes-Fanwo
The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, has said opposition parties may struggle to secure 25 per cent of the votes in Kaduna State during the 2027 presidential election.
Fanwo made the statement during an interview on TVC News on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, while reacting to comments made by the Kaduna State Governor regarding the political strength of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The commissioner described the governor’s assessment as accurate, expressing confidence that the APC would maintain its dominance in Kaduna despite efforts by opposition parties to challenge the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general election.
According to Fanwo, the political atmosphere in Kaduna suggests that opposition parties may find it difficult to achieve the minimum 25 per cent electoral threshold required to secure a spread of votes in the state.
“What the Kaduna State Governor said was very true. It’s not likely that the opposition will get 25% in Kaduna,” Fanwo said.
His remarks come amid growing political activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with the APC seeking to consolidate its support base across the country and secure another term for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Kaduna State remains an important political battleground because of its large voting population and strategic position in Northern Nigeria.
