Utomi Reacts To Comment Of Man Who Said Police Should Start Arresting Anybody Who Says Rig And Die

Nigerian economist, Prof Pat Utomi has taken to his official X account on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 to react to comment of man who asked security operatives to start arresting those promoting rig and die.

In the post that the man shared on his official X account, he asked the police to arrest the people because election is not war.

“Police should start arresting anyone promoting rig and die. Elections are not war and violence must never be normalized in a democracy”.

Reacting, Pat Utomi stated that if the All Progressive Congress, APC believes in free and fair election, its members should also be promoting it. He said only those with sinister motives won’t support it.

According to Pat Utomi on his official X account;

“If you don’t have sinister motives, why should anyone be arrested for promoting rig and die? If the APC believes in free and fair elections, its members should be among those promoting it the most”.
