Nana B Announces Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe’s Exit from NPP, Ghanaians React

Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has announced that Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe is no longer a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), claiming that the veteran politician is now aligned with the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Nana B made the statement during a live interview on UTV Ghana, where he explained that the NPP had formally communicated its position to Dr. Tamakloe in a letter. He maintained that the party had informed him that he was no longer associated with the NPP.

The announcement came during a discussion programme as Nana B pursued his ambition to become the party’s chairman. His remarks attracted considerable attention after UTV Ghana shared a clip of the interview on its official Facebook page, drawing further public interest in the issue.

Following the publication, Ghanaians took to social media to express differing opinions about the development. While some users praised Nana B and described him as a courageous figure with leadership potential, others criticised the announcement and questioned whether the manner in which it was presented would promote unity within the party.

Some commenters also expressed concern about the possible implications of Dr. Tamakloe’s reported departure for his supporters and their position within the NPP. Others used the discussion to call for changes in the party’s leadership, suggesting that the development reflected wider concerns about its internal affairs.

The issue has brought renewed attention to membership disputes, political loyalties and internal relations within Ghana’s major political parties. Such developments can influence party unity, particularly when prominent figures are involved and public reactions become divided.

However, Dr. Tamakloe has not publicly responded to Nana B’s claims, and his position regarding the announcement remains unclear. The situation has therefore continued to generate discussion, with Ghanaians debating what the development could mean for the NPP and its leadership.
