“I Still Use Trotro And Uber” —Maame Gold Surprises Kumawood Actress Christiana Awuni With A New Car

According to a Post by THEBBCGhana on Facebook account on Tuesday, Oct 27, 2026, Ghanaian entrepreneur Maame Gold has shown a remarkable act of generosity by presenting Kumawood actress Christiana Awuni with a brand-new Toyota Sienta after discovering that the veteran actress still depends on public transportation and ride-hailing services to get around.

The kind gesture reportedly followed a recent revelation by Christiana Awuni about her transportation situation. Despite dedicating more than two decades to Ghana’s Kumawood movie industry, the actress disclosed that she continues to use Trotro and Uber whenever she needs to travel from one place to another.

Her revelation has attracted attention, particularly because of the many years she has spent working in the entertainment industry. While some people might assume that a lengthy career in acting automatically guarantees financial comfort, her experience has highlighted the challenges that some industry professionals may still face.

After learning about the actress’s situation, Maame Gold decided to offer assistance in a memorable way. Rather than simply expressing sympathy, the businesswoman reportedly went a step further by purchasing a brand-new Toyota Sienta for Christiana Awuni.

The gift is expected to make transportation more convenient for the actress, allowing her to move around with greater comfort and independence as she continues her activities.

Maame Gold’s generosity did not end with the vehicle. She also presented Christiana Awuni with an undisclosed sum of money to support her fuel expenses and help her put the newly acquired car to use.

The actress reportedly received the presents with gratitude and expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the businesswoman for remembering her and extending such meaningful support.

The gesture has highlighted the importance of kindness and support within Ghana’s entertainment community, especially for actors who have spent many years contributing to the growth of the local film industry.
