Full List: 5 Prominent Obidient Members Missing From NDC Presidential Campaign Council

According to a report by The Vanguard on Monday, October 26, 2026, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has unveiled its presidential campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections, with party presidential candidate Peter Obi and National Leader Seriake Dickson featuring among those named.

However, the announcement has generated questions following the absence of several prominent supporters associated with Obi and the Obidient movement from the published list.

Released on Sunday, the campaign structure comprises different sections, including the campaign caucus, advisory council, directorates and state coordinators. Despite the broad composition, five notable individuals known for their support for Obi were reportedly left out.

One of them is Moses Paul, popularly known as Dr. Mo, who was appointed National Coordinator of the Obidient movement in October 2026. He previously served as its Secretary General and founded the Free Nigeria Movement. Obi had also publicly supported his aspiration to become chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council.

Another prominent figure is activist Aisha Yesufu, who participated in Obi’s 2023 Labour Party presidential campaign before joining the NDC in May 2026. She initially pursued a Senate seat representing the Federal Capital Territory but later withdrew following internal decisions concerning the party’s primary elections.

Precious Oruche, widely recognised as Mama Pee, is also missing from the council. She is known for grassroots mobilisation and outspoken support for Obi. In 2025, members of the Obidient movement publicly expressed solidarity with her following an incident involving former Labour Party factional chairman Julius Abure.

Digital content creator Peter Akah, popularly called Randy Peterz, is another absent name. He is associated with Obidient Connect, a group promoting Obi’s 2027 ambition and encouraging voter participation.
