Don’t Forget The Children & I — Toluwanisings’ Wife Breaks Down At Husband’s Night Of Tribute
Itohan Bayonle, the wife of late Nigerian gospel singer Toluwanisings, broke down in tears on Tuesday as friends, colleagues and other entertainment industry figures gathered in Ibadan, Oyo State, to honour the late singer at a night of tribute.
The emotional gathering brought together gospel artistes, celebrities and other prominent figures in the entertainment industry to celebrate the life and legacy of the singer, whose death in October has continued to generate controversy and stir conversations within the music industry.
During the event, Bayonle struggled to contain her emotions as she spoke about her late husband, expressing how deeply she would miss him and appealing to him not to forget her and their children.
In a video shared by Laric TV and reposted by TVC, the grieving widow was heard sobbing as she said, “I will forever miss you. Don’t forget the children and I.”
Her emotional words captured the pain of losing her husband and the uncertainty of facing life without him, drawing attention to the personal toll of the singer’s death on his immediate family.
Toluwanisings’ death has continued to attract attention, with controversies surrounding the circumstances of his passing keeping his name in public discussions even as family members, friends and colleagues remember him.
The night of tribute in Ibadan provided an opportunity for those who knew and worked with the late gospel singer to pay their respects and celebrate his contributions to gospel music.
