Big Blow to Opposition Unity as Kalonzo and Gachagua Split Over Candidate Declaration Date

The broader opposition team led by the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader, Hon Rigathi Gachagua, the wiper party leader, Hon Stephen Kalonzo, among other principals have been doubling their efforts to ensure that come next general election they unseat the current administration under the leadership of Dr William Ruto. To achieve this they have been having series of rallies and meetings across the country to lobby for more support from Kenyans.

However, the opposition team might face an uphill task to unseat president Ruto this is following the ongoing supremacy battles within the coalition. The head of state has been also telling Kenyans that opposition team cannot lead the country following their idea less, agenda less and clueless nature.

The opposition team is still struggling to declare their presidential candidate who will face president Ruto on the ballot come 2027. The Linda Mwananchi camp leader, Hon Edwin Sifuna, Wiper leader, Hon Stephen Kalonzo, among others are the potential candidates. Yesterday Gachagua and Kalonzo clash over when to announce their candidate.
