Another Looming Battle in ODM as Famous ODM Politician Makes this Unexpected Statement

Political commentator Robert Alai has criticised some leaders from the Nyanza region, claiming that their actions towards Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo could affect their relationship with President William Ruto’s administration.

Alai argued that Nyanza’s support for Ruto was linked to Omollo, whom he described as an important figure in the region’s political relationship with the government. He questioned why some leaders continued to undermine and fight the PS instead of working together.

According to Alai, the behaviour of these leaders raises serious concerns about their approach to leadership and cooperation within the government.

He also directed his criticism at Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi over his reported political ambitions and comments about his financial position.

Alai argued that Mbadi should concentrate on serving Kenyans rather than talking about his wealth and future political plans. He questioned why the CS would boast about having billions of shillings while discussing a possible bid for the presidency in 2032.

Alai further referred to Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, arguing that Mbadi should not use his position or financial status to portray himself as superior to other leaders.

He maintained that Cabinet Secretaries have a responsibility to serve the public and address the challenges facing ordinary citizens.

His remarks come amid wider political discussions about the relationship between leaders from Nyanza and the Kenya Kwanza administration. The region remains an important part of national political debates as leaders consider their future alliances.

Alai’s comments are likely to attract reactions from supporters of Mbadi, Omollo and other political figures mentioned in his statement.

The debate also raises questions about the role of government officials in politics and the importance of focusing on public service rather than personal wealth or future political ambitions.
