South Africans could be paying R296.25 less per tank of petrol

Finance minister Enoch Godongwana said that National Treasury’s long-term plan is to remove all levies on fuel, which will save motorists R6.5833 per litre of petrol, or R296.25 for a full 45-litre tank.Godongwana was responding to questions on 702 about government providing relief by reducing the General Fuel Levy, which is not a long-term solution.
