Relief for Viewers as DStv Kenya Slashes Tiers and Introduces KSh 750 Sports Plan

DStv Kenya has announced a major restructuring of its subscription services across the country, collapsing its old six-tier system into just four streamlined packages starting November 5.

The bold move comes as a huge sigh of relief for thousands of football fans in Nairobi, Mombasa, and across Kenya who previously felt forced to pay high monthly fees just to watch live matches. Under the slogan “Tumewaskiza” (We have heard you), DStv is introducing a dedicated standalone sports package priced at KSh 3,000, while maintaining its entry-level Starter package at KSh 750.

Many sports enthusiasts who had dropped their subscriptions due to high costs expressed joy over the new flexibility. “We complained for a long time about paying for channels we don’t watch just to see our teams play,” shared one fan in Westlands, Nairobi.

The new lineup includes Starter (KSh 750), Select (KSh 1,500), Sports (KSh 3,000), and Ultimate (KSh 7,300). Customers can switch smoothly to these revised plans starting next month.
