Kwesi Botchway Jnr. Appointed NPP Deputy Communications Director
byEbenezer MaduguOctober 26, 20260 Lawyer Lawrence Kwesi Botchway Jnr. has been appointed Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), where he will assist Communications Director Miracles Aboagye.
Mr Aboagye recently went unopposed in the party’s communications director contest, securing the position as the NPP strengthens its communication structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Mr Botchway, a legal practitioner, brings experience in legal and public affairs to his new role within the party’s communications team.
His appointment is expected to support the NPP’s efforts to communicate its policies, articulate its positions on national issues and engage the media and the Ghanaian public.
The development forms part of the party’s broader preparations to reorganise its structures and strengthen its messaging following its defeat in the 2024 general elections.
Mr Botchway has previously been involved in public-interest matters, including a petition to President John Dramani Mahama seeking a commission of inquiry into violence during the Ablekuma North parliamentary election rerun in July 2025.
His new role places him among the party officials expected to help shape its public communication as it prepares for the 2028 polls.
