KPLC Announces Places Set To Experience Power Blackout Tomorrow

Kenya Power has issued a notice detailing scheduled power interruptions across three regions on Tuesday, 27 October 2026. Customers in the listed areas are advised to make necessary arrangements as supply will be disrupted for maintenance works.

In the Nairobi Region, two zones are affected. Part of Parklands will experience an outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Areas include Lexicon, Parkland Road, Muthithi Road, Mogotio Road, Wambugu Road and adjacent customers. The second zone covers part of Ngong Road and Dagoretti Corner, also from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Affected locations include Lenana School, Ngando Area Racecourse, Dagoretti Corner, Talanta Stadium, Agricultural Society of Kenya Ayany Estate, part of Miotoni Road, Rubis Petrol Station and nearby customers.

In the Mt. Kenya Region, interruptions will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In Nyeri County, the Mihuti and Mukurweini areas are scheduled, covering Mihuti Market, Mihuti Secondary School, Thiha Village, Marandini, Ngimaini PCEA, Njege and adjacent customers. In Embu County, the Karambari and Kirie areas will be affected, including Karambari, Mbarwari, Kirie Market, Kirie Mission, Mukorori, Kiamugongo, Gatua and surrounding customers.

In the Coast Region, parts of Tana River County (Minjila area) will face a longer outage from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Locations include parts of Minjila, Basket of Hope, Idsowe, Danisa, Tarda, Gamba Primary School, Hewani, Wema Mission, Wema, Kulesa, Garsen, Maziwa, Bilisa, Konkona, Sheli, Kajisteni and adjacent customers.
