In My Own Opinion, There’s Only One Party Campaigning In Nigeria — Sani

Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has said in his own opinion, there is only one party campaigning in Nigeria.

Speaking in an interview with Arise News, Sani, as the APC Northwest Zonal Campaign Coordinator, made this statement when he was asked what key message he believes the APC rally has sent to Nigerians as the party prepares for 2027 general elections.

He replied that his position is very clear and what clearly shows is that people of Northern Nigeria have really seen President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as someone who is highly detribalized.

He said Tinubu has taken development to every part of North. He said that instead of the opposition to start campaigning, they are waiting for APC to campaign and they are just reacting.

He stated that if he is a candidate in opposition party, he will be worried and will ask his people to go out and campaign rather than sitting down in comfort of offices waiting for APC to go to campaign and they go to address media or write stories on social media.

He said when you look at other parties, what are they doing is commenting on what APC is doing rather than them planning to go out and meet people themselves, rather than sitting down being reactive.

He said he thinks why President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is going out now is because he has something to show, citing the 305 infrastructural intervention in Kaduna.

In his statement, “If I’m the candidate in the opposition party, I’ll be worried. I will ask my people, go out and campaign. Rather than sitting down in your comfort of your offices, waiting for APC to go to campaign, and you go to address media or write stories on the social media, why can’t you go out and campaign?”

“So for me, in my own opinion, there’s only one party campaigning in Nigeria, and that’s the reason why the people of Nigeria will appreciate APC. When you look at other parties, from yesterday to this moment, what are they doing? Commenting on what APC is doing. Rather than them planning to go out and meet the people themselves.”
