Ghana Health Ministry Sets Deadline For 36th Batch Medical Officer And Dentist Recruitment

The Ministry of Health is set to open its recruitment portal for medical officers and dentists in the 36th batch who have completed their housemanship and obtained verification from the Medical and Dental Council.

In a notice issued on Monday, October 26, 2026, the Ministry said the recruitment exercise is aimed at addressing staffing gaps in health facilities across Ghana.

Eligible applicants can submit their applications through the official online recruitment portal at mohrecruitment.com. They are required to follow the instructions on the platform and select their preferred districts and agencies as part of the application process.

According to the notice, the portal will open at 3:10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, and close on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

The three-day application window means qualified medical officers and dentists will need to complete their submissions within the period specified by the Ministry.

The recruitment exercise targets members of the 36th batch who have completed the required housemanship and received the necessary verification from the Medical and Dental Council. Applicants who meet these conditions are expected to use the designated online platform to express their interest in available placements.

The Ministry has also issued a strong warning against attempts to exploit applicants during the recruitment process. It urged prospective candidates to use only the official portal and remain cautious of individuals who may demand money while claiming they can facilitate their recruitment.

The notice stressed that applicants are not required to make payments in connection with the exercise, warning them against paying anyone who promises to secure a position on their behalf.

“The Ministry of Health advises all applicants NOT to make any payment for this process,” the statement said.

The warning is intended to protect applicants from possible recruitment scams and reinforce the Ministry’s position that the exercise should be conducted transparently.

Prospective applicants are therefore encouraged to review the portal’s instructions carefully, provide the required information and submit their applications before the deadline.

The Ministry’s announcement provides a recruitment opportunity for eligible doctors and dentists seeking placement within Ghana’s health system, as authorities look to fill staffing gaps across health facilities nationwide.
