DStv Announces Four New Packages in Ghana as Prices Start at GH¢50

According to a report by Channel One News published on October 26, 2026, MultiChoice Ghana has announced four new DStv subscription packages, with monthly prices starting at GH¢50 and reaching GH¢570. The new packages are expected to take effect on November 5, 2026, replacing the existing six subscription options.

The announcement was made at a joint press briefing involving MultiChoice Ghana and the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation in Accra.

The four packages are Starter, Select, Sports and Ultimate, each offering different combinations of television channels, sports and entertainment content.

The Select Pack costs GH¢100 monthly and offers 123 channels, giving viewers a wider selection of entertainment and other television content.

At the top of the new lineup is the Ultimate Pack, priced at GH¢570 per month. It combines premium entertainment with extensive sports coverage, including sports beyond football.

The changes will replace the existing Padi, Access, Family, Compact, Compact Plus and Premium packages with four options intended to simplify subscription choices.

The government has described the engagement with MultiChoice and its parent company, Canal+, as part of efforts to make television services more affordable for Ghanaian consumers. The initiative is also linked to plans to address illegal television streaming and piracy.
