Bungoma road trip turns tragic for Eldoret riders as photographer Brizzy dies in grisly accident

Eldoret’s boda boda community has been thrown into mourning following the death of popular rider, photographer and nduthi culture icon Brizzy, who died in a grisly road accident while travelling to Bungoma in a convoy of about 50 motorcycles.

The accident happened on Sunday, October 25, 2026, as the riders travelled from Eldoret to Bungoma for a charity event. Six other riders were hospitalised following the crash, according to updates shared by fellow riders.

Nduthi culture icon Ghost Rider, who is known for wearing a Ghost Rider mask, confirmed Brizzy’s death in an emotional update, apologising to those affected by the accident and expressing sympathy for the injured riders and their families.

“The Bungoma trip was not easy. Six have been hospitalised, and one has died,” Ghost Rider wrote.

He conveyed his condolences to everyone involved in the crash, saying the tragedy had affected the riders and their families.

“I am deeply sorry to everyone who was involved in an accident. My thoughts and prayers are with the injured and their families during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Brizzy,” he added.

Ghost Rider also shared a video showing fellow riders at the mortuary where Brizzy’s body had been taken. In the footage, medical personnel confirmed his death before placing his body on a trolley and taking it into the mortuary.

Another rider, known as Gringo Rides, who was part of the convoy travelling to Bungoma for the charity event, also confirmed Brizzy’s death.

He shared photographs from the accident scene showing several motorcycles scattered across the road, some with extensive damage and broken parts lying nearby. A saloon car involved in the crash was also pictured with its front end badly mangled and its airbags deployed.

The images showed the severity of the collision, while a crowd had gathered at the scene as the consequences of the crash became apparent.

In a later update, Gringo Rides confirmed that Brizzy’s body had been taken to the mortuary as the group waited for members of his family to arrive.

“So Brizzy died, yes. And we took his body to the mortuary,” he said.

Gringo Rides explained that he had been communicating with Brizzy’s brother before one of the deceased rider’s uncles arrived to complete the necessary registration process at the morgue.

“After that, we waited a bit because I had to wait for one of his family members to arrive. I had been communicating with his brother, and then his uncle came. When the uncle arrived, he registered the body in the morgue,” he added.

Gringo Rides said the group later returned to the accident scene before going to hospital to check on a woman who had been riding on Brizzy’s motorcycle when the crash happened.

The visit was part of their efforts to establish the condition of those affected as they dealt with the death of their fellow rider.

“Then we took him to the accident scene, and after that we also visited the hospital to check on the lady who was aboard Brizzy’s bike when the accident happened,” he said.

He added that he would continue sharing information as it became available from Brizzy’s family.

“So, in case of any updates from the family, I will be announcing them here,” Gringo Rides said.
