Today’s Headlines: Tinubu Will Return to Aso Rock — Kwankwaso; Davido, K1 Grace Zlatan’s Wedding

A member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, has declared that the North-West has made its choice for the 2027 presidential election, insisting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will return to Aso Rock.

Kwankwaso spoke against the backdrop of the massive turnout and endorsement of Tinubu at the formal kick-off of the APC Presidential Campaign in Kaduna, describing the gathering as a decisive demonstration of northern support for the President ahead of the 2027 poll.

Speaking to newsmen on the sidelines of the VIP Pavilion, the APC campaign council member said the Kaduna rally had effectively dispelled lingering doubts over where the North stood in the unfolding presidential contest.

“Today, we of the North-West geopolitical zone have spoken loud and clear on who we stand for. Our choice of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains our commitment to a better Nigeria and national cohesion,” Kwankwaso said.

The Founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has warned Christians against neglecting the payment of tithes, claiming that believers who fail to fulfil the religious obligation could expose themselves to problems they might wrongly attribute to the devil.

In a viral video trending online sighed by PUNCH Online on Sunday, the cleric, in a sermon ahead of the Christmas season, urged Christians to prioritise tithing before spending money on festive clothing and other personal needs.

“Don’t buy a Christmas cloth when you have not paid tithe. It’s dangerous. It’s very dangerous,” he said.

He insisted that Christians should not treat tithing casually or contribute whatever amount they choose, stressing the need to pay what he considers the correct amount.

Actress Uzoamaka Power, known for her role in The Call of My Life, has revealed that her father’s perception of acting initially made her afraid to pursue her dream of becoming an actress.

Speaking during an interview on the Tea With Tay podcast, Power recalled how her father frequently criticised actresses whenever they appeared on television, questioning their dressing and commitment to education.

“With my father, I was cowardly about pursuing my dreams because my father’s idea of acting, the way he saw acting, was prostitution,” she said.

According to her, watching films with her father often meant listening to his disapproval of the women appearing on screen.
