Sweden-born Ghanaian starlet Manaf Rawufu extends lL Hødd stay until 2028
The AIK Youth graduate of Ghanaian parentage has put pen to paper on fresh terms over an extension with the Norwegian second-tier campaigners, with his new deal set to take him through to 2028 at the Høddvoll Stadion
Norwegian OBOS-ligaen side lL Hødd have announced a two-year contract extension with Sweden-born Ghanaian starlet Manaf Rawufu ahead of the forthcoming winter transfer window.
The 21-year-old talented centre-forward, who teamed up with the Møre og Romsdal-based club from Swedish relegated Allsvenskan side IFK Norrköping during the summer of 2025, would go on to build himself a strong reputation by becoming a central figure in the setup of Danish manager Ivan Poulsen in the current campaign.
Announcing the contract extension of the Ghana-prospect forward, the Norwegian outfit have said in a statement: ”Hødd is pleased to announce that Manaf Rawufu has signed a new contract with the club that extends through the 2028 season. Manaf has had a positive development since he came to Hødd, and will now continue on the journey in blue and white.”
The budding star has said to his club’s official website: ”I have chosen to sign a new contract with Hødd because I feel very comfortable here. I want to build on what we have started, and continue to develop myself both as a person and a player. The club has taken good care of me ever since I came here, and I really appreciate being able to continue my journey with Hødd.”
Sporting director Jesper Törnqvist added: ”In our model, it is important that players who develop and take steps in the club also give something back. That is why we are extra happy that a player who is in such a positive development has decided to extend Hødd’s contract already now. It shows both faith, ambition and loyalty, and we look forward to following his further development.”
Manaf has so far netted 5 goals and assisted 2 in 24 appearances across all competitions for lL Hødd in this ongoing Norwegian OBOS-ligaen 2026 football season.
Given his Togolese and Ghanaian parentage, the budding striker remains eligible to play for both countries at the senior level on the international stage as he is yet to be cap-tied by the Sweden national football team.
