“Please Don’t Abandon Ruto” Senior Rift Valley Politician Told After Pulling Out of Power Deal,Check

A political shift has emerged in the Rift Valley following intense debate surrounding the recent pact between KANU chairperson Gideon Moi and President William Ruto.

Media reports from Northrift News have highlighted that Eldama Ravine MP Musa Sirma has publicly intervened, urging the veteran politician to exercise patience and maintain his alignment with the head of state.

This appeal has come just days after Gideon Moi has sought forgiveness from Baringo residents for trusting executive promises, an agreement that originally saw him step aside during the county’s senatorial by-election.

During a high-profile gathering at his Kabarak home, the former senator publicly expressed regret over that political decision, clarifying that unfulfilled development pledges have forced him to distance himself from the ruling party’s deal.

Furthermore, he defended the Standard Group against accusations of reporting bias, insisting that media operations have remained separate from his political decisions while telling Ruto government and key leaders not to blame journalists for administration challenges.

Responding directly to these developments, Musa Sirma has stepped forward to reassure the KANU chief that the promises made by the administration have remained intact and will ultimately be honored.

The lawmaker has urged against abandoning the political framework prematurely, arguing that ongoing developmental initiatives require patience and sustained cooperation between regional leaders and the national government.

He has stressed that walking away from the pact could jeopardize long-term benefits intended for the region, appealing to the senior Rift Valley politician to reconsider his stance for the collective good of his voters.

By urging dialogue over separation, the Eldama Ravine legislator has sought to de-escalate growing political tension within the region.

However, with Gideon Moi having already signaled a decisive course correction, the political landscape in Baringo has remained dynamic, setting the stage for renewed rivalry over political leadership across the Rift Valley.
