MySol Tycoon Madibela Responds to Malema On WhatsApp Status After EFF Rally Remarks

Mining businessman Madibela, the founder of MySol Holdings, has responded to EFF leader Julius Malema following remarks directed at him during the party Tshela Thupa Rally at Letlhabile Stadium on 24 October 2026.

Malema addressed Madibela while speaking about the need to increase black ownership in South Africa mining industry.

His comments drew cheers from rally attendees, but the dispute sparked mixed reactions online after the businessman response began circulating.

Madibela, who has previously said he does not use social media, turned to WhatsApp status updates to deliver his message.

He also encouraged his contacts to take screenshots and share his posts so that they could reach a wider audience.

In one of the messages shared in the early hours of Sunday, 25 October, Madibela wrote: “Malema o ngwana boy.

Screenshot boys and send him… People must work hard for opportunities chief…. O je bogobe boy u need energy.”

His remarks appeared to mock the EFF leader while emphasising the importance of hard work and taking advantage of opportunities.

He also shared an image that appeared to be AI generated, depicting Malema looking gaunt. The exchange has attracted attention partly because of Madibela business journey.

The entrepreneur reportedly started his career as a site clerk after completing matric before building MySol into a major chrome producer that employs thousands of people.

Some social media users speculated that the disagreement could be connected to the businessman alleged decision not to financially support the EFF.

However, this claim remains speculation, and no confirmed evidence has established it as the reason for Malema remarks.

The incident has divided public opinion, with some people defending Madibela achievements and others supporting Malema criticism.

One social media user, @MaxNomaNini, suggested that EFF supporters might feel pressured to turn against MySol simply because Malema had criticised him.

The user also argued that the businessman had contributed more to the black community than the politician.

Another commentator, @Mao_Azania, accused Malema of being uncomfortable with the success of indigenous African entrepreneurs.

The user argued that revolutionary language could be used to influence young people rather than encourage independent economic progress.

However, not everyone sided with Madibela. Social media user @ZuluSweG expressed support for the businessman response, writing: “MySol is cooking this fraud.”

The public disagreement has renewed debate about black economic empowerment, political expectations of successful entrepreneurs and the role of private businesses in transforming South Africa mining sector.
