I’m here to protect the interests of NDC supporters doing galamsey—NDC Fomena Chairman-elect

Chairman-elect for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Fomena Constituency, Ibrahim Atibilleh, has assured galamseyers of his full support to ensure they succeed.

He says he noticed that illegal mining is the most dominant job in the area, and it is imperative that the interests of party people involved in the illegality are protected.

“The most dominant job here in Fomena is galamsey. I have vowed to sacrifice for Galamsey to thrive in this constituency, and I will do that to ensure that their interests are protected and ensure that they do not destroy the land,” he told the media.

He used the opportunity to thank the former chairman of the constituency, Eric Opoku, and reminded him that he will seek his counsel whenever the need be.

Atibilleh indicated that he bears no grudges and will continue to support the political party with his strength and resources.

“I am not here for my own parochial interest. I am here for the good of the political party. I know galamsey is our only source of employment so I will ensure that we do it and do it well. I am here to support party members who are into business and others to ensure that we can mobilize and win the Fomena seat in the 2028 elections,” he stated.
