How Moi Shared His 931-Hectare Land Among Five Sons and Gave His Daughters KSh 300 Million

Former Kenyan President Daniel arap Moi left a 931-hectare parcel of land to be distributed among his five sons. The beneficiaries were Jonathan Kipkemboi Moi, Gideon Moi, Raymond Moi, Philip Moi and John Mark Moi.

The land was designated for the five sons, with each included in the distribution of the property. The 931-hectare parcel represents the land Moi left to be shared among his male children.

Moi’s five sons named in the distribution were Jonathan Kipkemboi Moi, Gideon Moi, Raymond Moi, Philip Moi and John Mark Moi. Together, they were the beneficiaries of the substantial landholding.

In addition to the land allocated to his sons, Moi gave each of his three daughters KSh 100 million. The beneficiaries were Jenifer Chemutai Moi, June Chebet Moi and Doris Chekorir Moi.

The cash gifts amounted to KSh 300 million for the three daughters combined. Each daughter received an equal amount of KSh 100 million, bringing their combined inheritance in cash to KSh 300 million.

Moi’s distribution of the 931-hectare parcel among his five sons and the KSh 300 million given to his three daughters formed part of how he shared his wealth among his children. The arrangement involved land for his sons and equal cash gifts for his daughters.
