Ex-Linda Mwananchi MP Whisked Away as Goons Allegedly Attack Him in Nairobi

Political tensions have emerged in Nairobi’s Dagoretti area after Saboti MP Caleb Amisi reportedly faced hostility while attending a church service at Riruta Satellite SDA Church.

According to updates shared on his social media accounts, the former Linda Mwananchi lawmaker’s visit was disrupted by a group of youths who allegedly stormed the church premises and interrupted his engagement with worshippers.

The incident has raised concerns about political intolerance and the safety of leaders attending public gatherings within the capital.

Reports circulating online indicate that the group allegedly shouted political slogans, including “Hapa ni Tutam,” as they disrupted the event. The situation reportedly escalated quickly, forcing the legislator’s allies to help him leave the scene to avoid possible physical harm.

Amisi later revealed that a motorcycle rider came to his rescue, helping him escape from the commotion that had erupted outside the church.

Following the incident, the Saboti MP apologised to the leadership and congregation of Riruta Satellite SDA Church for the disruption and chaos caused during the service.

The lawmaker also accused his local political rivals of allegedly sponsoring individuals to intimidate him and silence opposing political voices. However, the claims had not been independently established in the account provided.

The incident has since triggered mixed reactions on social media, with some Kenyans condemning the alleged intimidation while others have questioned the circumstances surrounding the disruption.
