EFCC Opens Recruitment Portal, Warns Applicants Against Fraudsters, Says Application Is Free

By Emmanuel Kwada The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the opening of its recruitment portal, urging interested Nigerians to apply through the official channel and beware of fraudsters seeking to exploit job seekers.

The anti-graft agency stressed that the recruitment exercise is completely free, warning applicants against individuals or groups demanding money in exchange for employment opportunities. The commission’s warning comes amid concerns over recruitment scams in which unsuspecting applicants are deceived with promises of guaranteed jobs in government agencies. The EFCC cautioned prospective applicants to remain vigilant and avoid dealing with unauthorised persons claiming to have connections within the commission or the ability to influence the recruitment process. It also advised applicants to rely on official communication from the agency for accurate information about the recruitment exercise, including application procedures, eligibility requirements and deadlines. The commission reiterated that no applicant is required to pay money to secure a position, urging Nigerians to report suspicious recruitment-related activities to the appropriate authorities. The EFCC’s advisory is aimed at protecting job seekers from financial exploitation and ensuring that the recruitment process remains transparent and accessible to eligible Nigerians. Prospective applicants are encouraged to verify all recruitment information through the commission’s official website and communication channels before submitting their applications. The EFCC emphasised that the recruitment process is free and warned that anyone demanding payment in exchange for employment should be treated with suspicion. 📰 Get Latest News Updates Join our Telegram group and receive breaking and trending news updates directly on your phone.
