2027: Tinubu Backs APC Governors, Rejects Wike’s Rainbow Coalition At Kaduna Rally

According to a report by The Vanguard on Sunday, October 25, 2026, President Bola Tinubu has formally kicked off his 2027 presidential campaign in Kaduna State, using the grand political rally to pitch his support squarely behind the APC governors in their firm rejection of the call for a rainbow coalition made by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Addressing thousands of enthusiastic supporters ahead of the January 16, 2027 presidential election, President Tinubu commended the impressive developmental strides of the state governors, declaring that he is proud of their achievements.

He stood shoulder to shoulder with their political stance against the proposed rainbow coalition, urging the electorate to come out massively to vote for him and all other ruling party candidates from top to bottom.

The President launched a blistering attack on his political opponents, blaming them squarely for the current economic hardship and poverty facing Nigerians.

He dismissed opposition criticisms as the bitter complaints of failed politicians who have nothing constructive to offer the country.

Pointing to past economic sabotage, Tinubu declared that fuel subsidy is gone for good, promising a future defined by growth, recovery, opportunity, and second-term prosperity. He repeatedly engaged the crowd, asking them to show their Permanent Voter Cards.

Speaking earlier, Vice President Kashim Shettima lauded the resilience of the administration, noting that they successfully kept the country together despite harsh economic predictions.

Shettima highlighted key developmental achievements in Kaduna State, particularly in education, citing the establishment of federal and state tertiary institutions and vocational centers designed to empower youths.

Tinubu charged voters to remain vigilant against deceitful claims and lies as the nation marches toward the ballot box on January 16, 2027, to fully renew the progressive mandate under the pillars of growth, recovery, and opportunity.
