Young Africans SC have officially terminated the contract of head coach Manqoba Mngqithi with immediate effect after a brief stint in Dar es Salaam, relieving the former Mamelodi Sundowns mentor of his duties on Saturday night.

Mngqithi is leaving the Tanzanian giants after barely three months having taken over the coaching job in July 2026 with high expectations of winning major trophies including the CAF Champions League.

However, Young Africans announced the departure of the experienced coach after the team played to a frustrating goalless draw against TRA in the Tanzanian Premier League.
