What Charlene Ruto’s Husband Did After Prophetess Made Bold Claims About Ruto
A video of a preacher making bold predictions about President William Ruto has gone viral, and the reason has less to do with the message than with who liked it.
Isaya Yunge, husband of Ruto’s daughter Charlene, liked the clip on Instagram, and Kenyans soon took notice. The video was posted on October 15 by Esther Mbajiaku, who describes herself as a speaker, entrepreneur, creator and preacher.
In the clip, she speaks straight to the camera against a plain beige wall, with captions running across the screen. She says the Lord told her the president was “raised for such a time as this” and has been given “a heart for revival.”
She also describes a season of pruning for Ruto and his government, saying some of those closest to him in political circles are being shaken. She claims she saw a vision of Kenya building alliances with its neighbours and receiving favour in the region.
A big part of her message is about young people. She says God has placed a special burden on the president’s heart for the youth, and speaks of empowerment programmes and workshops meant to reduce illiteracy. She ends with a prayer, saying she believes God is raising Kenya as a standard.
Once the like was spotted, the comments section filled up quickly, and opinions were split. One user dismissed her claims outright, saying God had shown her nothing.
Another urged all Kenyans to gather and say Amen. A third prayed for the nation to be made great, while someone else joked about the “wantam or tutam” slogan.
Neither Yunge nor the Ruto family has commented on the like. For now, the video remains a talking point online, with Kenyans divided between belief and doubt.
