Reshaping Primary Schools in North As Presidential Campaign Promise? Then We’re in Trouble—Nwaokobia

Human rights activist, lawyer, and public analyst Dr. Chris Nwaokobia has criticized the presidential campaign approach of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, asserting that the opposition could gain the upper hand ahead of the 2027 elections due to a lack of meaningful campaign issues from the ruling party.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News, on Saturday October 24, 2026, Nwaokobia argued that spokespersons for the administration have trivialized critical national conversations surrounding presidential contestation.

“The spokesperson of President Bola Tinubu will have reduced issues about presidential contestation to very banal and primitive arguments. I saw one of their spokespersons talk about reshaping, remodeling primary schools in the North. And if that is what they want to sell a presidential candidate with, then we’re in trouble,” Nwaokobia stated.

Dr. Nwaokobia highlighted the growing economic pressures facing citizens, emphasizing that vague promises will no longer suffice in the upcoming electoral cycle.
