PS Omollo Warns Youth Against Political Violence, Calls for Unity
Internal Security PS Raymond Omollo has urged Kenyans to protect peace and national unity, warning that political differences should not lead to violence, displacement or destruction of property.
Speaking in Bahati, Nakuru County, Omollo commended residents, local leaders and security agencies for maintaining peaceful coexistence among communities from different parts of the country.

The PS cautioned politicians against actions that could undermine this right, stressing that political competition should not come at the expense of security and stability.
He also warned young people against being used by politicians to engage in gang violence, intimidate residents or disrupt public order.
“Political differences must not trigger violence, displacement or destruction of property,” Omollo stated. calling on leaders and citizens to safeguard the peace built over the years.
At the same time, Bahati MP Mrembo Njoki also urged residents to maintain peace and protect development projects in the constituency.
Njoki cited her collaboration with President William Ruto’s administration in delivering clean water and other community initiatives, noting that continued cooperation was important in sustaining the gains.
She cautioned against allowing political competition to disrupt projects intended to improve residents’ livelihoods.
The MP appealed to residents and leaders to work together to maintain stability, arguing that development efforts require a peaceful environment to continue benefiting communities.
In his statement, Omollo also highlighted the government’s investment in education, including the recruitment of more than 100,000 teachers in less than four years.
“This decisive action transforms past political promises into tangible reality, underscoring the government’s commitment to prioritizing the education of young Kenyans,” he remarked.
According to PS Omollo, the administration plans to recruit an additional 20,000 teachers by the end of the year.
The recruitment drive was presented as part of efforts to strengthen public education and respond to the needs of learners across the country.
Omollo reiterated that national stability also depends on continued engagement with local communities on security and social issues, adding that residents’ concerns should be heard and reflected in broader development policies.
“Beyond educational investments, national stability relies on continuous dialogue between state leadership and local communities on critical security and social issues,” he stated.
