Millie Odhiambo Sends A Stern Warning To Junet After What He Said About Sifuna, Sparking A Firestorm

Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo has weighed in on the growing divisions within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), as disagreements involving Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and other party leaders continue to attract attention.

Millie’s position comes amid renewed political exchanges following remarks by Suna East MP Junet Mohamed targeting Sifuna and other leaders perceived to be challenging the party’s current direction.

The legislator has previously expressed concern that continued attacks against Sifuna could strengthen his political influence rather than weaken his standing within ODM.

She has maintained that party disagreements should be addressed through dialogue and internal consultations instead of public confrontations that could deepen divisions.

The dispute comes as ODM navigates a leadership transition following the death of its longtime leader, Raila Odinga, whose influence helped unite different factions within the party.

Sifuna has emerged as a prominent figure associated with the Linda Mwananchi movement, which has attracted attention amid disagreements over ODM’s political direction and its relationship with President William Ruto’s administration.

His recent meeting with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at Wamunyoro has also fuelled speculation about possible political realignments ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Meanwhile, Junet’s remarks have highlighted tensions within the party over leadership and political strategy.

As the elections approach, ODM faces mounting pressure to resolve its internal disputes and preserve party unity.
