Bimbo Ademoye is an actress, filmmaker, content creator and brand influencer whose talent and versatility have made her a prominent figure in Nollywood. She began acting professionally in 2014 and gained wider recognition with the 2017 romantic comedy, ‘Backup Wife’. Since then, she has established herself as a versatile performer, particularly in comedy and drama.

Her notable film credits include ‘Sugar Rush’ (2019), ‘Anikulapo’ (2022), in which she played Princess Arolake, and ‘Gangs of Lagos’ (2023). Her film ‘Gingerrr’ also recorded impressive box-office figures, reportedly opening with N82.8m and grossing more than N435.5m within six weeks.

Ademoye won the Best Actress in a Comedy TV Series award at the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards for her performance in ‘Selina’.

Known for her expressive acting, humour and outspoken personality, she has also built a strong presence in digital content creation. Her online skits, including those featuring popular characters such as Iya Barakat, Teropi Secxxion and Sibe, have endeared her to a broad audience. She has also gained attention for turning brand endorsements into entertaining comedy skits.

In 2026, Ademoye has continued to expand her digital filmmaking presence through her YouTube channel, Bimbo Ademoye TV, where she releases films directly to her audience.

One of her recent releases, ‘My 30th Wedding’, was uploaded on October 1, 2026, and reportedly garnered one million views in less than four hours. The film has since amassed about 25 million views. Another production, ‘Sibe’ (The Movie), released on July 25, has recorded approximately 21 million views. The comedy-drama expands on her popular Sibe character and features Uche Montana, Uzor Arukwe and Deyemi Okanlawon.

Her other digital releases, including ‘Mirrors and Reflections’, have also attracted millions of views.

With a substantial Instagram following and a growing YouTube audience, Ademoye is demonstrating how actors can use digital platforms to maintain direct relationships with fans. By releasing films through her own channel, she has greater control over distribution and access to the audience her work attracts.

Born in Lagos, Uche Montana hails from Ibusa, Delta State. She grew up in a close-knit Christian family and initially studied Law at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education before pursuing a career in acting.

She made her acting debut in ‘Poison Ivy’ in 2015, but it was her portrayal of Lovina in the Africa Magic series, ‘Hush’ (2016–2017) that brought her wider recognition. The role also earned her a MAYA Award.

Since then, Montana has featured in numerous Nollywood productions, including ‘Thin Line’ (2024), ‘The Betrayed’, ‘Hire a Woman’, ‘The Fake Life of Abuja Housewives’, ‘Banana Island Ghost’, ‘The Eve’, ‘Made in Heaven’ and ‘Roses and Ivy’ (2024). She also featured in Funke Akindele’s ‘Behind the Scenes’ (2025), which became a major box-office success.

Her performance in ‘Thin Line’ earned her a nomination for Best Lead Actress at the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards. In May 2026, she received the Trailblazer Award at the 12th edition of the awards, further cementing her place among Nollywood’s emerging leading actresses.

Montana is also building a strong digital presence, using YouTube to distribute films to an expanding audience. Through her channel, Uche Montana TV, she has released a string of productions that have attracted millions of views.

Her recent releases include ‘The Merger’, a romantic corporate drama featuring Timini Egbuson, which reportedly garnered about 12 million views. ‘Second Chances’, released in August, has recorded approximately 16 million views, while ‘The Long Way Home’, featuring Nadia Buari, has attracted about 10 million views.

Other titles in her digital catalogue, including ‘Hustle Code’ and ‘When Love Prays’, have also drawn substantial audiences.

Her growing online following reflects the popularity of her work, while her Instagram audience has also expanded significantly.

Montana has spoken openly about her commitment to acting. In an earlier interview with Saturday Beats, she declared, “I’ll never quit acting for a man,” underscoring her determination to prioritise her career.

She gained wider recognition for her performance as Amanda, popularly known as Sparkles, in Kemi Adetiba’s Netflix crime series ‘To Kill a Monkey’ in 2025.
