Any NPP Leader That Says Wontumi Is In Good Health Is A Lair – Abronye DC

According to a report by The1957News today being Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye, has made a strong claim about the health condition of Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, widely known as Chairman Wontumi.

According to Abronye, any NPP leader who insists that Chairman Wontumi is in good health and doing well is not telling the truth. He maintains that the Ashanti Regional Chairman is seriously ill, challenging claims that suggest otherwise about his current health condition.

Abronye’s comments have drawn attention because of the prominent position Chairman Wontumi occupies within the NPP. As one of the party’s influential regional chairmen, Wontumi has played a significant role in the party’s political activities, particularly in the Ashanti Region, which is regarded as one of the NPP’s traditional strongholds.

The statement also raises questions about the information circulating within the party regarding Wontumi’s health. While Abronye has expressed confidence in his assessment, his remarks should be understood as his personal claims unless they are independently confirmed by reliable sources or an official statement from Wontumi’s family or representatives.

The issue could attract further reactions from party members, supporters and political observers, especially if other NPP leaders offer different accounts of the chairman’s condition.

Chairman Wontumi remains a prominent figure in Ghanaian politics, and any discussion concerning his health is likely to generate interest among party faithful and the general public.

However, until credible confirmation becomes available, it is important to distinguish Abronye’s allegations from verified medical information. His comments have nevertheless brought the question of Wontumi’s health into the political conversation, with many likely to await further clarification from those close to the Ashanti Regional Chairman.
