Abronye DC Drops Update About Chairman Wontumi’s Well-being

According to a report by The1957News today being Saturday, October 24, 2026, regional Chairman Abronye has strongly dismissed claims by some New Patriotic Party (NPP) leaders that Chairman Wontumi is in good health, insisting that the reports do not reflect his actual condition.

According to Abronye, anyone within the NPP who claims that Wontumi is healthy and physically fit is not telling the truth. He maintained that the party chairman is seriously ill, challenging the statements being made by some party figures about his health.

Abronye’s comments have drawn attention to the conflicting accounts surrounding Wontumi’s current condition. While some NPP leaders may have given the impression that he is doing well, the Bono Regional Chairman has taken a different position, insisting that the situation is far more serious than some people are suggesting.

His remarks could generate further discussions within the party, particularly among supporters who are concerned about Wontumi’s wellbeing. The disagreement also raises questions about the information being shared publicly concerning the health of prominent political figures and the need for accurate updates.

However, Abronye’s claims represent his own account of Wontumi’s condition, and no independent medical information has been provided here to establish the chairman’s current health status.

The controversy is likely to attract attention from party members and the wider public as people seek clarity about the situation. Wontumi remains an influential figure within the NPP, making reports about his wellbeing a matter of interest to many supporters.

For now, Abronye has made his position clear, maintaining that claims describing Wontumi as being in good health are misleading. Whether other party leaders will respond to his allegations or provide further clarification remains to be seen.
