Slavia Prague Midfielder Gets First Invitation to Super Eagles

According to a report by OwnGoal Nigeria on Friday, October 23, 2026, Slavia Prague midfielder David Moses has received his first invitation to the Super Eagles ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against Tanzania.

According to the report, Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has submitted his list of invited players for the November fixtures.

Moses has reportedly earned his maiden invitation following his impressive performances for Czech Republic side Slavia Prague, particularly in the UEFA Champions League.

The midfielder recently featured in Slavia Prague’s draw against Turkish club Fenerbahçe, where he was among four Nigerian players who represented the Czech side.

The other three were Mubarak Suleiman, Emmanuel Anyaosi and Samuel Isife.

His reported invitation comes as Chelle continues to assess his options ahead of Nigeria’s next competitive assignments, with the Super Eagles seeking to strengthen their position in the race to qualify for the 2027 AFCON.

Nigeria began their qualifying campaign with a 2-1 victory over Madagascar but suffered a setback in their subsequent fixture, losing 3-0 to Guinea-Bissau.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to face Tanzania in back-to-back qualifying matches in November.

The fixtures could provide Moses with an opportunity to make his first senior international appearance if he is selected and given playing time.

Before earning his reported maiden Super Eagles invitation, Moses had been working to establish himself at club level with Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic

The reported call-up would represent a significant milestone in the midfielder’s career as he seeks to establish himself at senior international level.
