‘It’s really scary. I’ll use it as a lesson’ – SDK Dele on death of Kwame Dzokoto

Entertainer SDK Dele has admitted that the death of fellow food creator Kwame Dzokoto has heightened his concerns about the health risks associated withhis job as he pledged to make his wellbeing a priority.

SDK Dele said the development was frightening, particularly for creators whose work involves regularly eating different meals to produce content for their audiences.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM, he acknowledged that the nature of the work could have health implications if creators failed to balance their eating habits with exercise and regular medical check-ups.

“Yeah, it scares me. It really scares me. I’ll use that as a lesson too,” he said.

SDK Dele noted that he had observed food content creators in other parts of the world gaining weight and appearing to experience health complications as they continued producing food-related content.

He, however, pointed out that some creators had taken steps to manage the demands of their work by exercising regularly and seeking medical attention while continuing to eat for their content.

According to him, such measures are important for creators whose careers require them to consume food frequently, as maintaining their health should remain a priority alongside their professional commitments.

His comments follow the death of Kwame Dzokoto, a Ghanaian entertainer and food content creator, whose passing has prompted reflections on the demands and potential health implications of the food content creation industry.

SDK Dele also expressed his condolences to Dzokoto’s family, acknowledging the loss of a fellow creator in the food space.
