“He Cannot Move Anywhere Without His Fellow Murderers Around Him” Kaluma’s Explosive Claim

“He Cannot Move Anywhere Without His Fellow Murderers Around Him” Kaluma’s Explosive Claim

Homa Bay Town MP George Peter Kaluma has reignited political debate after making fresh remarks about Siaya Governor James Orengo and his political associates.

In a post shared on X on October 23, 2026, Kaluma questioned Orengo’s political position in Kisumu and ended with a brief message directed at President William Ruto: “Political miscalculation is bad. Ruto.”

Kaluma claimed that Orengo could no longer move freely around Kisumu without being accompanied by Oliver Jaoko, popularly known as Oliveti.

The MP’s post made serious allegations about Jaoko, but the claims should be treated as Kaluma’s own assertions rather than established facts.

His remarks have added another chapter to the ongoing political exchanges between leaders supporting Ruto and those associated with the Linda Mwananchi movement.

The latest statement comes amid growing differences within ODM over its leadership, political alliances and direction ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Orengo has emerged as a prominent figure in the Linda Mwananchi camp, alongside Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.

Their political activities have drawn criticism from leaders who support the current direction of ODM.

Kaluma has previously criticised Orengo, Sifuna and Babu Owino over their political choices, arguing that they have misread the mood among ODM supporters.

In August, Orengo declared his intention to contest the presidency in 2027, a move that introduced another dimension to the contest for political influence in the Nyanza region.

Kaluma has questioned whether Orengo can secure enough support to make a meaningful impact in the presidential race.

By ending his latest post with the words “Political miscalculation is bad,” Kaluma appeared to suggest that political decisions could carry consequences for those involved.

However, he did not explain precisely what he meant by directing the remark at Ruto.

As the next election approaches, the exchange highlights the growing competition over alliances, regional support and the future of ODM.

Whether the latest remarks will prompt a response from Orengo remains to be seen.
