Ebola in Nigeria: FG Places 46 Contacts on 21-Day No-Fly List as WHO Warns of No Approved Bundibugyo Vaccine
The Federal Government has intensified measures to contain Nigeria’s first confirmed case of Ebola Bundibugyo virus disease in the current outbreak, directing aviation authorities to place 46 contacts of the infected patient on a 21-day no-fly list. The move comes as the World Health Organization (WHO) confirms that there is currently no licensed vaccine or specifically approved treatment for the Bundibugyo strain, making early detection, isolation and supportive medical care critical to the response.
