We Have Expelled Wike; We Followed It With a Certificate, Have You Heard That Before?—Abdullahi

Ibrahim Abdullahi, a former Deputy National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and member of the Turaki-led faction, has insisted that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike is no longer a member of the party following his expulsion.

Abdullahi made this statement during an interview on Channels Television while reacting to questions about Wike’s continued membership of the PDP despite his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

He explained that the leadership of his faction had expelled Wike and issued him a certificate of expulsion. He questioned why anyone would continue to describe the minister as a PDP member after the party had taken such action.

Abdullahi also criticised Wike for supporting Tinubu’s re-election when the PDP has its own presidential candidate. He described the minister’s political position as hypocritical, arguing that his actions showed a lack of consistency.

The former PDP deputy national secretary further accused Wike of applying different standards when discussing other politicians who might seek to take over power in Nigeria.

He argued that Wike’s political position would eventually lead to serious consequences, adding that the minister’s statements about other politicians seeking power were difficult to understand.
