Reactions Trail Sani’s Comment As Emir Of Katsina Tells APC Chieftains That It’s Not Good To Lie
Several reactions have trailed the comment that was made by former Kaduna lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani after the Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumini Kabir Usman told some APC chieftains who visited him about insecurity in the country.
The statement of Senator Shehu Sani was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
According to Sahara Reporters, the traditional ruler told the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Abdul Aziz Yari and some other members who visited him that lying about the issue of insecurity is unacceptable.
“When you come to me and claim something happened when you know it did not, it is unacceptable”.
However, Senator Shehu Sani has now shared his thoughts after the report surfaced online. In a statement that he shared on his official X handle, he said the traditional ruler didn’t blame former President, Muhammadu Buhari but today, he’s blaming the federal government.
Here is what Shehu Sani wrote on his official X handle;
“In 2022, a Northern traditional ruler prayed for Buhari, praised him and told him that insecurity in the North was the handiwork of his political opponents. In 2026, that same traditional ruler is not blaming the political opponents of Tinubu but blaming the failure of the FG to secure the state”.
