Pi Network announces November summit as PI price struggles below $0.08
Pi Network has announced its first Ecosystem Summit for November 17ā19, 2026, as its PI token trades below $0.08 following a 13.9% decline over the past month.
According to the project’s October 15 announcement, the three-day online event will feature developer demonstrations, application showcases, platform updates and the introduction of a new hackathon.
Pi plans to bring its Core Team together with developers and application operators to discuss building software, reaching users and accepting payments within the ecosystem. Participants will see demonstrations of existing tools and hear from teams developing services for Pioneers.
The company intends to announce new platform capabilities during the event, but it has not identified individual releases or committed to launch dates. Hackathon rules, prizes and registration details remain undisclosed, with more information expected during the summit.
A full program and instructions for watching the sessions have yet to be published. Pi has distinguished the summit from its Pi Day and Pi2Day events, which cover activity across the entire network.
According to its October announcement, developers can draw on an audience of more than 60 million engaged Pioneers. The company separately reports over 300 Mainnet applications, more than 420,000 nodes and 18.1 million fully KYC-verified users.
As AI lowers the barrier to building software, reaching users and gaining distribution are becoming increasingly important challenges for developers.Pi offers an existing distribution network and utility-based ecosystem where developers can connect their applications with moreā¦
The figures describe the network’s reported reach, but they do not establish how many customers use a particular application or complete purchases. Pi has not released a consistent public breakdown of active users, merchant sales or payment volume across its applications.
As crypto.news examined in October, the number of Mainnet applications differs from verifiable customer activity. Some projects may have working payment functions without publishing how frequently customers use them.
Pi’s software development kit lets builders connect applications to account authentication and payment services. Its app-discovery tools can help users find products inside the ecosystem, although the project’s announcement gives no comparable retention figures for those products.
Developers are expected to demonstrate practical uses during November’s sessions. The official program has not promised a network-wide usage report, however, nor has it announced new liquidity facilities or exchange listings.
Questions about trading access therefore remain separate from the capabilities the event will showcase. Pi’s announcement concentrates on development tools and applications without specifying any changes to token liquidity or secondary-market infrastructure.
Pi’s development efforts have continued beyond preparations for the summit. Its October announcement points to support for bringing externally created AI applications into Pi App Studio, improvements to the SoloHost platform for self-hosted AI software and updates to developer documentation.
The network set October 13 as a deadline for node operators to install Protocol 28 software ahead of a planned October 16 Mainnet activation.
The Protocol 28 upgrade was intended to improve delayed transaction handling and permit grouped updates to smart contracts. The published schedule did not independently establish successful activation or higher application activity.
Payments involving dollar-backed tokens form another part of the project’s plans. In an October 8 statement, Pi described a partnership with Open Standard, the group behind OUSD, to explore rewards for Pioneers and other potential stablecoin services.
The company said PI would remain the primary cryptocurrency used across the network, while stablecoins could serve transactions where merchants or customers need predictable prices.
However, the project has not specified an OUSD Mainnet launch date, reward amounts or a mechanism requiring stablecoin users to purchase PI.
An October analysis of OUSD noted that the stablecoin operates on Base, Ethereum, Solana and Tempo, while its proposed role within Pi remains under development.
PI traded around $0.08 at the time of writing, down 1% over 24 hours, with approximately $3.23 million in daily trading volume. Its seven-day performance remained positive at 2%, while the monthly decline stood at almost 14%.
The token moved between $0.078 and $0.080 during the preceding 24 hours. Its market capitalization was approximately $888.2 million, based on the reported circulating supply of 11.28 billion PI.
For historical comparison, PI reached an all-time high of $2.99 in February 2025, according to crypto.news market data. The token recorded a low of $0.070586 in July 2026.
Technical readings showed negative money flow, with the Chaikin Money Flow indicator at -0.09 and Bull Bear Power at -0.00229. The latter reading had become less negative, suggesting selling momentum had eased without establishing a bullish reversal.
Initial support stood near $0.078, followed by $0.075 if the price fell further. Resistance remained around $0.082 and $0.090, levels PI would need to recover to move out of its recent trading range.
