Netizens Reacts After Oburu is Spotted With Simba Arati

As political parties prepare for the 2027 general elections, ODM has moved to show that its leadership remains active and united after a period of concern over Party Leader Oburu Oginga’s health.

ODM shared photographs of Oburu meeting Kisii Governor and Deputy Party Leader Simba Arati today at his Nairobi residence. It was his first public appearance since he was discharged from Nairobi Hospital.

The two leaders were seated under a car shade in the compound and appeared to be in discussion while Oburu continued his recovery at home. The party used the Swahili phrase Chama iko Imara, meaning the party is strong, to describe the meeting.

Oburu was admitted to Nairobi Hospital on October 4 and left on October 19. His hospitalisation had raised public concern about his health, especially during events marking the first anniversary of the death of his younger brother, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

The new photographs offered supporters a welcome update and a human glimpse of the veteran politician as he recovers.
