NDC in Tears as Sad News Hits The Party
Ghanaian actor, comedian and politician Seth Kwame Dzokoto has reportedly died after collapsing during a live radio discussion at Owass Radio in Tarkwa, Western Region.
The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday, October 22, 2026, while Dzokoto was participating in a panel discussion on the station’s morning programme.
Reports by Citi Newsroom and other Ghanaian media outlets indicate that he was transported to a hospital in Tarkwa after becoming unwell but was pronounced dead on arrival. A source reportedly connected to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), with which he was affiliated, also confirmed the news.
As of the time of reporting, the circumstances surrounding the incident and the medical cause of his reported death had not been officially established.
Dzokoto was a recognised figure in Ghana’s entertainment industry, with a career spanning television acting, comedy, presenting and radio broadcasting.
He became particularly popular for his portrayal of Judge Koboo in the long-running Ghanaian television series Efiewura. His performance earned him recognition among audiences who followed the programme.
He also hosted Edziban, a television show that highlighted Ghanaian cuisine, traditional dishes and the country’s rich food culture.
Outside the entertainment industry, Dzokoto was involved in partisan politics as a member of the NDC. He contested the Tarkwa-Nsuaem parliamentary constituency in the 2016 general elections as the party’s candidate.
His work in entertainment and politics established his presence in different aspects of Ghanaian public life.
The reports of his death have emerged shortly after he addressed speculation about his health in September 2026. During an interview, Dzokoto dismissed rumours claiming he had died and spoke about health challenges he had experienced.
His reported passing is likely to attract reactions from fellow entertainers, political figures, broadcasting colleagues and admirers across the country.
Further details, including an official statement from his family, confirmation from relevant authorities and information about funeral arrangements, are yet to be established.
Until formal confirmation is made available, the circumstances surrounding Dzokoto’s reported death remain subject to verification.
