Meet the Kenyan Hairdresser Who Married a Mzungu Woman After She Walked Into Her Salon

A Kenyan TikToker has people talking after sharing how a regular salon client ended up becoming her wife.

It started the way most salon visits do. A white woman walked in to get her hair braided. In the first photo, she’s sitting under a wooden gazebo, smiling while her cornrows are being done. Nothing about it hinted at what would come next.

Then she came back for a second appointment, and this time she had an invitation: dinner. The hairdresser posted a picture of herself at the restaurant with a glass in hand. Her caption said she couldn’t say no. Fair enough.

One of the funnier moments in the photo series is a sweaty selfie from mid-service. The hairdresser was scrubbing her client’s mother at the time, and the client wandered in for a quick photo. She looks flushed and tired, but she’s still grinning next to the woman she would later marry.
