Asante Kotoko midfielder Hubert Gyau has vowed to work extra hard to improve his goalscoring in the Ghana Premier League.

The youngster was the star for the Porcupine Warriors last weekend as he scored in the team’s 2-1 victory over Young Apostles at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

With two goals in seven matches, Hubert Gyau insists that he must work on his fishing to ensure he helps Asante Kotoko to win more matches.

The midfielder has promised supporters that he will put extra work in training to polish his finishing.

“I need to work on my goal scoring. From now on, I will put in extra work in training to ensure I score more goals,” Gyau said after the win against Young Apostles

The highly-rated midfielder has become a key man for Asante Kotoko since joining from Berekum Chelsea in 2025.

He is expected to play an important role for the Reds on Sunday, October 25, when they face FC Ashanti Gold at Len Clay Sports Stadium.

The Week eight fixture is scheduled to kick off at 3 pm.
