I Won’t Work For Peanuts – Van Vicker Finally Reveals Why He Dumped Lilwin

Ghanaian actor Van Vicker has finally explained why he stopped working with fellow actor Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin.

For some time now, LilWin has been complaining on different platforms that Van Vicker refused to honour his invitation to feature in his movie. He has also said that is part of the reason he now prefers to work with Nigerian actors and actresses.

But Van Vicker has now given his side of the story.

According to Van Vicker, LilWin wanted him to shoot a movie for 20 days but the money he offered was too small. He said the payment did not match the number of days and the work he was expected to do.

He also claimed that LilWin did not want the payment arrangement to show in his accounts, which made him uncomfortable.

He said because of that, he decided to stay away from working with LilWin.

This revelation has sparked fresh conversation in the movie industry. Many people remember how LilWin has openly criticised some Ghanaian actors for being difficult and not supportive. He has often said Nigerian actors are more professional and easier to work with.

Van Vicker’s explanation now gives a different picture. For him, it was not about pride or refusing to support a fellow Ghanaian actor. It was about fair pay and proper business.

Industry watchers say this issue shows one of the biggest problems facing the Ghana movie industry — low budgets and poor payment for actors.

While LilWin is praised by many for investing his own money to keep the industry alive, some actors feel the pay is not good enough for the amount of work they do.

Neither LilWin nor Van Vicker has said if they will work together again, but for now, Van Vicker says he is not ready to work under such conditions.
